Xbox One is massive compared to the PS4

The Xbox One is a big console, there is no hiding this fact. But when you put it next to the PS4, you begin to understand how big it actually is. In fact, it reminds us of the first Xbox, as that console was also, quite large.

In the image above, you can see the PS4 sitting on-top of the Xbox One, courtesy of PCgamers.de. Even when placed next to the Xbox 360, the One is still quite large.

But does size really matter? To most gamers, probably not. Seeing that the Xbox One is a device that is designed to stay inside your AV cabinet, being portable is not an important attribute for the console.

Also, don’t forget that the PS4 has its power-supply built in, while the Xbox One has an external power unit.

There are likely loads of reasons why the console is so large, one likely being the need to keep all the components cool. Back when the Xbox 360 launched, it was plagued by defective units and seeing the size of the Xbox One, Microsoft likely spared no expense to keep the console from over-heating.

the retards posting stuff on here makes my brain hurt, if you can use google and have the capability to read then u know that the ps4 will run better than the xbox one, its always been the case, xbox 360 and xbox one are more multi media systems, so you can play games but also have netflix,lovfilm,etc etc, which is fine, ( not hating, so fanboys shhh...)
both console's are nearly identical yes the ps4 will run a little better,there wont be much of a difference though, so all in all both consoles are going to be beast, want a console purely for gaming get ps4, it only makes sense its 100 cheaper, if u want a multi media centre that can play games, get xbox one, both have decent exclusive's, for me i personally think gran turismo is much better than forza,gears of war is pretty beast for xbox, soo yeahh both consoles will be goood,

Lol, all this talk about the xbox one "not able" to run games on 1080p. It's already done with forza. The hardware of the xbox one is capable of running games on 1080p it's just the developers are taking time to figure out the new architecture. It will take time but it's not like the console isnt powerful enough to do it because it is. IW upscaled COD ghosts because they wanted the game to run flawless which it does. COD ghosts on ps4 has frame rate issues because of 1080p according to reviews. So it's down to the developers.

I just seen a topic below that is quoted the whole way down the page of PS and Xbox fanboys bad mouthing each console.

Who cares? Pick a console and stop talking trash about the other one, I'm glad we have 2 incredible consoles to pick from, sony and MS are competing which makes them design better products for us. So anyone talking trash about a console, remember yours wouldn't be half as good without its competition.
