GameStop says 2.3 million people are still waiting on a PS4 console

GameStop has said it expects Sony to move 2 million or so more PS4 consoles by the end of the quarter. The figure was dropped during a call to investors this afternoon to discuss the firm’s latest financial figures, and notes its current allocation of consoles have sold out. The firm concluded that there are 2.3 million customers waiting for PS4 consoles. Sony announced last week that PS4 moved over one million units during its first 24-hours on sale in North America. LaserShow While Im all for SONY doing well (for once), that seems like an incredible number for just GameStop when SONY themselves say they are expecting to move 3 mil total this year! That means all future PS4s will be sold by SameStop?!


For once? PS2 highest sold console EVER, don't make stupid statements unless you know your facts.

I find this extremely odd because i know of atleast 5 stores in my area that i can go tomorrow and pick up another ps4 if i wanted. and the last time i look at the population it was almost 220k people

What horrid news. I still can't figure out which console I want to get and am leaning towards both. If I get both I think I will be getting most multi-plats for PS4...

Ballpark Wow, that is alot of consoles still awaiting an owner. Although I do agree with Dreams that the Xbox One will be the more prefered of the two.


nah it won't ps4 is still leading in pre-order numbers and no one i know is getting a xbox one. i told my friend chris i was getting one he said that was a mistake lol
Actually, the pre-orders were neck on neck. Which means, if anything, the Xbox won was 'leading' as the PS4 was being sold in 3 times as many markets...

i dont get how ppl are "waiting" to buy the ps4. i can just go walk into any store.. and buy it. do they mean they are waiting to buy it when their is a christmas bundle? article does not make any sense watsoever
Waw, really? There's millions of people that pre-ordered both consoles and they're in SOO much demand that it's impossible to keep up...
