Destiny launches worldwide on September 9, 2014

Bungie has announced its next game, Destiny, will launch worldwide for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 and PS4 on September 9. The game will be published by Activision.

"Destiny has always represented a new beginning for our team. It was born from brave possibilities," the announcement post on Bungie's site reads. "We dreamed of a renewed and independent Bungie. We found partners willing to bet big on some crazy new ideas with us."

Destiny is Bungie's "mythic science fiction" open world multiplayer shooter first revealed last November. A beta for Destiny, which pre-orders will get first crack at, kicks off first on PlayStation platforms in the summer of 2014.

I think this game is going to fail, BAD.

Something is just telling me it's going to be a Microtransaction debacle. Activision, no, Bobby wanted a CoD MMO.

What do you mean "pushback"? They never announced a release date prior to this.

ZENU96 Really want to see the graphics on the next gen or pc. This game is really gonna be one of the top 10 of the year in my opinion for 2014.


I'm sure the graphics on PC/Next Gen are going to be amazing.

Dreams i havent really looked at this game to much but is it suppposed to be another halo? it looks just like it


It's quite different actually, although I'm hoping there is another Halo from 343 or whoever might make it.
