Nintendo now selling 'high-capacity' Wii U GamePad battery

4.6
The Wii U GamePad's wireless nature is kind of a figure of speech, what with how often its out-of-the-box battery life requires a charge. Nintendo's high-capacity GamePad battery has jumped shores to offer a solution to the annoyance, as long as you're willing to pay $32 for it.

The product listing states the new battery pack "offers up to 8 hours of use," which it compares to the existing GamePad battery's "3-5 hours." Users will need just a screwdriver to install it before they get back to hosting parties with Super Mario 3D World and discovering nightmare-worthy creatures in Pikmin 3.

It's going slowly, but Nintendo is making the Wii U a more attractive device. While I am unlikely to play a game for more than 3 hours at a time, 3.5 hours is too low for battery life of a controller. Yes, I can just charge it up after every session, but I think a controller batter should last a good two and a half sessions before needing a charge.

BronyForLife Way too expensive for the battery

You must be really cheap if $32 is expensive
