Nintendo now selling 'high-capacity' Wii U GamePad battery

4.6
The Wii U GamePad's wireless nature is kind of a figure of speech, what with how often its out-of-the-box battery life requires a charge. Nintendo's high-capacity GamePad battery has jumped shores to offer a solution to the annoyance, as long as you're willing to pay $32 for it.

The product listing states the new battery pack "offers up to 8 hours of use," which it compares to the existing GamePad battery's "3-5 hours." Users will need just a screwdriver to install it before they get back to hosting parties with Super Mario 3D World and discovering nightmare-worthy creatures in Pikmin 3.

This is rather terrible that instead of making the stock battery pack for the Wii U gamepad like this "high capacity" battery, they make it cheaply to save money and then think to try and get more money with this new battery. I would hardly call it high capacity if it only lasts up to eight hours.

Ice-Coolz yep this is good idea as hand held devices run out to fast.

They do, which deems them pointless in my mind.

Especially Xbox controllers, I need to use rechargeable batteries, they are life savers.

Ice-Coolz Oh wow they are annoying especially if your talking through a mic aswell.

I've never used wireless mics before, but a few times when my controller was dying, people would say my mic quality would just turn terrible, now whenever my controller's battery life gets to 2 bars, I switch out the batteries.

Same happens to my mic as well

Rechargeable batteries and battery packs was just something I needed. I would run out of batteries so quickly and once I got rechargeable for the Xbox, I was just at ease not having to stress out looking for batteries or having to go buy batteries.
