Battlefield 4 connectivity issues continue across 'various platforms'

DICE posted an alert on its support forums for Battlefield 4 to warn players of ongoing connectivity issues across multiple platforms. This is the latest update in a string of problems the game has faced since its launch in late October, which has seen multiple patches go live in the past few weeks.

The game's support forums note that the developer is "continuing to monitor some intermittent connectivity issues affecting some players across various platforms." Though no other information is provided in the alert, DICE's Battlefield 4 issues tracker mentioned that it is investigating a bug that is "accounting for a large amount of crashes" on Xbox 360.

Among the other problems encountered by Battlefield players are reports that the game's China Rising DLC failed to carry over from PS3 to PS4, for players that made the switch to the next-gen system. As a result of its constant problems, multiple law firms have launched investigations into EA to determine whether the publisher intentionally mislead investors on the game's state leading up to its release.

Flutterlicious It's getting better, before you couldn't play a single game without crashing.


There are still some points in the campaign where you simply can't pass the mission because of some sort of glitch, requiring you to restart it. A good example being during the dam mission where your character couldn't actually interact with the ladder, causing him to fall to his death... simply unacceptable if you ask me.

Good to know I am not the only one, DR3 multiplayer works fine, and I do realize that xbox one isn't compatible with xfinity yet.

Dont worry they will get it all sorted out and then we can play :) I hope they fix the freezing on the 360 though.

buddamen124 I've been Getting more than my fair share of connectivity issues and crashes for bf4 on xbox one, not to mention I got the game 2 days ago. Disappointing to say the least.


Battlefield 4 has been a complete mess since release. I own the game on Xbox 360 and have played it on PC and i have experienced an array of issues on both versions. From crashing and progress wipes to not being able to connect to EA's servers all together.


Either way, the game is amazing and way better than Ghosts. Only issue I have on my PS4 is when quick searching for games. Most of the time I join a server and it errors out. Just use the server browser to get into a game. Nothing we can't handle until everything is fixed at last.


love how you throw in that better that ghosts part. shows how much of an absolute fanboy you truly are. and id rather play "unicorn power 3" or some retarded game that i can actually play with my friends than be playing the campaign on battlefield over and over and over again. so no. ghosts is way better than battlefield. i dont even need to actually compare the games bc i can just say one you can play. the other you cant.


Peggle 2. All the way. Better than Ghost, hands down.
