Titanfall open beta 'possible', says community manager

Game currently in limited alpha trial period ahead of March release

Respawn Entertainment hasn't ruled out a Titanfall open beta, according to Abbie Heppe, community manager for both the studio and the upcoming game.

Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella said in December that Respawn is considering a Titanfall beta.

The studio is currently running what it has called "a limited technical test" for the game on Xbox One. It is unclear how many users have been invited to this alpha trial.

Publisher EA has confirmed a Titanfall release date of March 11, 2014 in North America and March 13 in Europe. The title will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

Officially revealed at E3 in July 2013, Titanfall went on to be named Best of Show at the E3 Game Critics Awards.

Well it would be better for the community to test it out and get the bugs out the way before the actual release.

Stance Im playing the alpha right now and its an amazing game imo.

I'm pretty sure the Alpha closed, didn't it ? 0.o

The alpha was extended to 9pm PST

Open betas are always a good idea. The more people that play it early on, the better the game can be when it's actually released. Larger audiences of people in beta means more varieties and therefore the game will appeal to more audiences

Jayden- I'm also glad it's being released on 360, and an open beta would be absolutely awesome!
Can't wait.

I'm surprised they can make things for the 360 anymore, with all the updated graphics engines. But good on them for doing it.
