Xbox One system update adds storage management, battery monitor

4.6
The Xbox One operating system had some peculiar quirks out of the box, and a system update that will propagate on February 11 will fix some of them.

In particular, it will allow users to see how much storage space they’re using on the console’s internal hard drive. It will also introduce a battery indicator for the controller, and compatibility with USB keyboards. Screenshot of the build below:

On March 4 an additional system update will revamp the console’s party system in preparation for the launch of Titanfall later that month.

“This is the first of many announcements and sneak peeks at features in the system updates. We’ve been carefully listening to your feedback and look forward to delivering many new features that will make Xbox One even better,” said Microsoft. “We’re just getting started and can’t wait to share more information in the coming weeks.”

Latias It was so stupid that they wouldn't let you see the storage on YOUR console. The consumer should be able to view/manage their storage.

Yeah, that was one major fail on their part....

Yea they really should be able to manage what they want, Really dumb.

I'm almost certain they said that was their goal... They did not have enough time in development though and decided they would release post-launch. Since most people probably will not need to look at their storage for a while.

They actually said they wanted the XB1 to handle everything for you, they really were just trying to hide that 362gb was the max though.

I don't see why they wouldn't have already have the storage management, and battery monitor on the console to begin with.
