Disney Infinity sparks Disney Interactive profit spike

4.4
In the final three months of 2013 Disney Interactive raked in 403 million in revenue. What is largely responsible is their hit, Disney Infinity.

Infinity launched for multiple platforms in August 2013 including 360, PS3, Wii U, and 3DS. The success of Infinity gave the studio a sigh of relief given that in the previous year their flagship game was Epic Mickey 2. Epic Mickey 2 only sold 500k units versus the three million units sold Infinity has garnered.

During the final three months of 2013, the overall Disney business made $12.3 in sales, which resulted in a $1.8 billion profit.
