Possible negatives of the Xbox One headset adapter

Not all models of headsets are compatible with the upcoming head adapter, many popular headsets are flatout unusable including even the official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and the respective Bluetooth variation. Any headset that uses the connector shown in the below is also a NO GO for usage.

A 2.5mm-to-3.5mm adapter cable is included but will only handle chat audio, if you want game audio you need additional cables.

A bulky, ugly, connector that doesn't work with every headset. A billion dollar company shouldn't have this problem.

2014 Only two models it won't work with is the Tritton Warhead headset and the Tritton Primer headset. Guess whoever wrote this missed that. If you have an adapter like the one above. You can go to accessories page on whatever brand you have and find a regular talk back cable for around $4.95.


I was about to say the same thing. There's is only a couple of surround sound headsets that use the bulkier connector and you can get a diiferent cable like you said on amazon.

im not even gonna bother with there stuff ill just buy a headset from turtlebeach or astro and they can give me everything i need.Anything to do with headsets made by xbox is unreliable

To all the ignorant people saying that: besides the adapter, Xbox doesn't sell any of the cables, they're third party, for the most part. Get over it, lmfao.


LOL Ignorant? At the start of the 360 you had to use their HDMI, They force you to buy new headsets and it doesnt matter if they are third party companies such as turtle beach, Astro and steel series give a fraction of profits to microsoft
