Possible negatives of the Xbox One headset adapter

Not all models of headsets are compatible with the upcoming head adapter, many popular headsets are flatout unusable including even the official Xbox 360 Wireless Headset and the respective Bluetooth variation. Any headset that uses the connector shown in the below is also a NO GO for usage.

A 2.5mm-to-3.5mm adapter cable is included but will only handle chat audio, if you want game audio you need additional cables.

My current headset I have would be able to work with an adapter but I think I will just purchase a entirely new headset for my Xbox One.

It really does suck. You need to get more wires.


You only need more wires if you have the Tritton Warhead or Tritton Primer headsets. Simple as that. Other than the 360 wireless and Bluetooth headset, all the other ones most people use will work(Turtle Beach, Astros, etc.). It doesn't suck that bad. Plus, if you are planning on getting a new headset, most of the new ones designed for next-gen come with the adaptor so it's a win-win

I truly hate the included headset and cannot wait to get a new headset for Xbox ONE. Until then, I can only use my headset on my Xbox 360.....
