"Black Screen" issue arises from latest Xbox One System Update

In their most recent system update for the Xbox One Microsoft has inadvertently added a pretty nasty bug which disables the video for you console with a single button press.

According to games via reddit and other various outlets, we have multiple reports of screens just going black after pressing the Xbox button to access the home screen. This effectively disables all video from the system, the only way to fix this is to perform a hard reset or manually remove the power cable from the unit.

Microsoft is aware of this issues as seen via their twitter support account.

Dorkus Microsoft really wasn't prepared for all of these issues, they should of tested and fixed all of the before the launch. Compared to sony, microsoft didn't start so good as we expected.


Really now. What about that game save corruption glitch that could brick your console or the fact that 8% of all PS4's were bricked at launch. Get your facts straight before trying to start a console war.

This is why I usually wait a while before a new console comes out. Let em sort out all the bugs and errors. But the games coming out for Xbox One has been tempting me to buy one beforehand.

lol i was just gonna say i havent had any problems since the update but i just turned my xbox one for the 10th time since getting the update and im getting a snowy screen yet i can hear sound
