Thief sneaks in 1080p for PS4 while Xbox One lags at 900p

Thief is due to be released on February 25th, it has came to light that the PS4 version will render at 1080p while it's Xbox One counterpart will only turn up at 900p.

The slight gap between resolutions was announced by the game's Publisher, Square Enix, in a recent chat with a leading gaming news venue. They go on to state the difference is so minute that you would *need* really good sight to spot the disparity. While he admits there is a difference albeit slight between the PS4 and Xbox One he goes on to tell gamers that the biggest jump in quality for Thief will be from the previous generation of consoles versus the latest and greatest from Sony and Microsoft.

Have you forgotten where you are? You're lurking in a CONSOLE news forum? I have a Xbox One and I can still say with confidence that most people who have the PS4 don't care that your PC is better. Do us all a favor and take your 'PC master race' some place where a damn is given, cuz here is certainly not that place.


This isn't solely a "CONSOLE news forum". The entire site is dedicated to "Tech" and gaming. Their are dedicated PC and phone sections so it is NOT all about consoles. It's pure fact that PC's are much better than consoles and can run games at higher settings. So I think you'll find that people here DO give "a damn" about PC's.

Anyway, like I have said before. XB1 is terrible. The PS4 is running a lot of games at 1080p which the XB1 will struggle to do. I have seen so many posts about this kind of thing. "PS4 runs ___ at 1080, while XB1 only runs it at ___p" Microsoft really need to pick up their game.

How can you even argue that we don't care how great the games are? It's the same game but one looks better because it plays in a higher resolution, clearly the PS4 version is the better game. You really contradict yourself.

i dont understand why everyone is all over this resolution garbage. I cant tell the difference between 720 and 1080 so i definitely wont notice 900 to 1080.

Yeah i agree there xbox one needs to up there game (also have a xbone lol)but im thinking of trading with a friend for the ps4 as iv gone of xbox now lol.
