PS4 virtual reality headset to be demo'd at GDC - RUMOR

According to a inside source, Sony is set to reveal a PS4 virtual reality headset akin to a Oculus Rift.

The "inside source" told a leading gaming news venue that the device will be shown off to third-party devs during this year's GDC in San Francisco on March 17th to 21st. The source goes on to state that Sony originally planned to reveal their Oculus style device at Gamescom but declined to do so opting instead to spend more time on internal development prior to it's official reveal.

Sony has deliberately taken its time to tweak and polish the headset before revealing it.Insider Source

This year has got some good releases such as; Watch dogs, Infamous, the order and much more to come!

Linear Please stop thinking when something says headset it means microphone and speakers. This is going to be an identical concept to oculus rift (not that then can really do much different), and probably with mic - and of course, speakers.


A lot of people just read the jist and not the whole thing.

VR stand for Virtual Reality which in this instance its a headset that will try and imitate the Virtual Reality so you will feel like you are in the game (I don't mean like feel as in touch)

On topic, What's a virtual reality headset meant to do...? Is it exactly like the oculus rift yet it has a headset on it? I'm confused.
