Xbox One price-cut not coming to other territories, says Eagle

Xbox One is getting its first official price-cut in the UK on February 28, and Xbox UK Marketing Director Harvey Eagle has confirmed that the deal isn’t coming to other territories at this time.

We’ve got Microsoft’s official £399.99 Titanfall Xbox One bundle details through the link. Hit it y’all.

Explaining the deal to OXM, Eagle began, “My responsibility is only for the UK so I can only talk about our territory. This is about offering the best value to UK gamers, and as a result we’re announcing this new price point of £399. There’s no announcements in other countries planned, so it’s a UK-only adjustment and we feel this is the right thing to do in our market.”

He added, “The timing of this is very much around Titanfall,” and continued, “It’s about value rather than price. People buy a console to play the best games, the best games coming this year include Titanfall, and Destiny, and Watch Dogs, and if you want to play all three of those you’re going to need an Xbox One. And as we said in the announcement today from the 14th March customers are also going to get a copy of Titanfall included when they get an Xbox One, we think that’s really good value.”

To those butt hurt out there about the uk getting a price cut. look at a currency converter. In USD 399 pound still evens out to around $665. This cut makes it more fair to be honest. However imho it's still pretty unfair that they have to pay over $100 more than everyone else.

daRealRush They need to take the Kinect away from the system, some people simply don't want the Kinect. I just want the console, the cords that go with the system, and the controller! Not the Kinect!!

If u don't want the kinect THAN DON'T **** USE IT just unplug it and put it away, it's not that difficult

Consoles must not be selling too well in the UK if they decided to make this move. It'll be interesting to see whether it makes a difference or not.

Axe It sucks that it is only in UK at this price.

I might have to see if I can order one for that, because I don't feel like paying a ton extra for one.


You will need to pay shipping price if you buy it so there's no point.
