Titanfall on PC is a 21GB download, requires 48GB install

4.6
The PC version of Titanfall will be a 21GB download, and will take up 48GB when installed.

Respawn Entertainment founder Vince Zampella confirmed the figures on Twitter last week in response to a question posed by a fan.

Zampella also used the social networking site to reconfirm that the Xbox One version of Titanfall will take up less than 20GB when installed.

In late February, Microsoft announced a limited edition Xbox One Titanfall console bundle. It features special edition Titanfall packaging, an Xbox One console, Kinect sensor, standard wireless controller and chat headset, one month Xbox Live Gold membership and a digital copy of Respawn's shooter.

While publisher EA has confirmed a PC and Xbox One Titanfall release date of March 11 in North America and March 13 in Europe, the Xbox 360 version, which is being handled by Bluepoint Games, was recently delayed until March 25 in the US and March 28 in Europe.

Holy crap, thats a lot of memory.

MaggardoPosted:

That is an insane amount of memory you have to install. As long as you have a good hard drive everything should be good!

TankAurora I only have 1TB. If games keep coming like this I'm going to have to upgrade.

1Tb is perfect, it's not like you play everyday, so uninstall games you haven't played in a while then reinstall them when you want to play them.. That's what makes Steam awesome, a nice library of your games

Aftercast Wow... thats like, a lot of space.. I think the console version will be much more popular since it's under 20GB.

The more GB a game is the better the graphics are, i've realized that since i got crisis 3 on the PC a while back and it's amazing. So titanfall on the PC will definitely have some amazing graphics.

That's not even remotely true, depends on the file types, compression methods and more.

Also some of the file extension types, file extensions tend to have an impact on size of files.
