PSN goes down for 5 hour plus maintenance today

Sony has warned gamers that certain elements of the PlayStation Network will be down for maintenance today for over five hours. This information was garnered from a official post on the PlayStation forums, it went on to detail that the PS Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will be under maintenance during 16:30-22:00 UK, 08:30-14:00 Pacific Time and 11:30-17:00 Eastern Time. Good news though, if you have signed into PSN since March 6th you should be able to access online multiplayer and third party apps like Netflix during the planned maintenance.

In order to access online game play and partner apps during this routine maintenance, we ask that you please sign in to the network prior to Monday, March 10th.Sony

Why do you hate them? Are you a PC gamer or what? I like PC better but I own a PS4.

WHAT? xbox one is doing much better in updates than ps4 at the moment, they have improved with community feedback a ton, and you can't doubt that since it's a true fact.


If by this, you mean that Microsoft are releasing more updates, then yes. I don't think they're "doing much better in updates" though. XB1 still has a lot of bugs/issues and had way too many at release. Although, it's a terrible inconvenience having PSN down for that long.

Yeah it is a lot better in updates, the Xbox One just released a CONTROLLER UPDATE a controller update I never heard of that, but I guess they could.

daRealRush It seems like Sony's maintenance's are always the longest out of Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft.


I think Nintendo's is only 4 hours, 5 hours plus is pretty dramatic.


What does that tell you? It's saying they have a lot of issues.


Exactly, Microsoft does it once in a while, but Sony has it more than often same with Nintendo.
