PS4 and it's accessories to experience price hike in Canada

Sony Computer Entertainment Canada has confirmed a price increase for the PlayStation 4, DualShock 4, PS Camera, and titles including inFamous: Second Son and MLB 14 The Show. While speaking with Sony Canada the Toronto Sun they went on to comment that the PS4 console itself would go up $50 starting on March 15th, the DualShock 4s and PS Camera will increase by $5, and many PS4 games will increase to $69.99 or a extra $10. This move is most likely related to the obvious lack of available PS4 units for sale within Canada, Microsoft reached out to comment that they did not plan to increase the Xbox One's base price.

That's not very nice Sony.

The blame really cant be out on Sony, blame it on the countries government for creating such a weak currency.


Trust me I understand what you're saying but at the end of the day it's not only the customers that might get shafted be this but also the shops. Think about it, if the base unit price increases the shops pay more, but then if they want to stay competitive and make sales then they'll have to lower their prices, thus cutting into their own profits.


Thats 100% correct someone passed economics :P but in all seriousness you got to understand Sony never has cared about any company but there own they make money and thats all that matters.


That person did not pass economics, nor did you. By increasing prices across the board, all shops now can offer their own sales. The ones with the best sales will sell more, which is good. It will end up increasing sales because customers are so stupid that they will see the PS4 as gaining value and attention. All in all, Sony will do well and the bigger shops who give better deals will do well too. Sony cares about their customers because if they did not, they would not be in business. For example, Sony's customer support rating has gone up every year since 2010, ergo they care and are improving for their customers.


You cannot really blame sony for this though

Resort The prices are to much in my opinion. But im not getting the next gen consoles for a while i dont really care to much about them.


I don't think they are over priced, they can invest money to a lot of stuff for the next gen to make it better and better.


yeah but you have to completely restart on everything you invested in on the 360. i think they should have made more things compatible
