New wave of PlayStation Now beta invites sent out
Multiple sources told IGN that the beta invites appeared up in their email inboxes on Thursday night.
Revealed at CES in January, PS Now will initially stream PS3 games (other platforms to follow) to PlayStation systems, Sony Bravia TVs and, in future, other Sony and non-Sony devices.
A PS Now beta is currently ongoing in the States, where Sony will launch the service this summer. It has been reported that PS Now won't arrive in Europe until the first quarter of 2015.
PS Now will enable customers to rent individual games or pay for full library access via a yet to be confirmed subscription fee. In mid-March, game rental options were spotted on the US PS Store, seemingly confirming that the service will let users stream rented titles for one, seven or 30 days, although the functionality isn't yet enabled.
For a "low latency, high-quality gaming experience", Sony recommended that PS Now users have at least a 5Mbps connection.

If you don't have that, you definitely don't deserve electronics, lol.
Ignorance at it's finest. Some places just don't have isps that will provide good internet. I live in CNY and up until last fall the best internet available was 3mbps and then cable came to my area.
>Ignorance at (its) finest.
That means your area is not worth investing in.

OasisROIFaIIenThespian Sony knows exactly what the players want and there doing every thing right
Microsoft is doing a great job to just geared towards people who are willing to pay more.
They really are not doing that great of a job. It also has nothing to do with paying more.
Whether or not they're doing a 'great job' really depends on your own opinion, and it has a little to do with paying more seeing as the base console price is higher.
It's not the fact that most people cant afford it. A lot of people i know just cant justify spending more for a less powerful system.

It's not their fault the government won't invest in the right places.

ROIHDITeRRoRiZeI A great service and all but why do i get the feeling, 5mbps is reallyy no where near enough for streaming? Especially when it comes to streaming PS2 games to PS3 at upscaled 1080p Resolution?
I have a very bad feeling about this...
They said 5mbps will be enough due to the compression. The games will not look as good even on the fastest connections as opposed to playing the games locally. It's a small compromise to enable seamless streaming and backwards compatibility. Besides most people have a higher than 5mbps connection now anyways.
Not really, in my area, the highest they offer is 5MBPS of Download. And 1 MBPS of upload.
