PlayStation 4 to be Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare lead console

Sledgehammer Games recently unveiled images and the first trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare which showcased – among other things – EXO suits, futuristic weaponry, PMCs and the ever amazing Kevin Spacey. The visuals caught our attention above all as they appeared several tiers above last year’s Call of Duty: Ghosts. Best of all, the footage was all captured on the Xbox One. But is it the lead platform?

Industry insider Ahsan Rasheed, known as “thuway” on NeoGAF tweeted about the same and stated that, “Also I want to say one thing to all the Xbox One fans that keep telling me COD is X1 lead platform. It’s not. It’s a marketing deal.”
According to Rasheed, the studio that first created Call of Duty will focus on PS4. “Here’s the part you should pay attention to. Developers inside Infinity Ward prefer the PS4. Majority will use it to play at home.” Which is hard to deny – PS4 sales currently stand at 7 million units worldwide.

Rasheed continued, “Put that inside your head. The developers who made the game. Majority will play the game on PS4 at home with friends.”
When another user stated that that was for Infinity Ward and may not necessarily apply to Sledgehammer Games, Rasheed said, “So cute. If you think the PS4 version won’t be the definitive console version technically, I have some bad news.”

When developing for next gen consoles, doesn’t it make sense to focus on the most powerful one? Let us know what you think in the comments. As usual, even though Ahsan’s track record has been pretty solid till date, it’s best to take this information with massive grain of salt.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be out on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 4th. A separate studio will be working on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, which release on the same day.

To add to this, why are we taking news from NeoGaf? NeoGaf is filled with circle jerking PS4 fanboys who wouldn't eve begin to listen to reason. So many articles from there have been debunked. I could care less about what this guy from Ifinity Ward says because that's not the real infinity ward anyway. The real infinity ward is now Respawn and now makes Titanfall.

It wouldnt make to much sense to make the game 720p and then bring it to ps4 at 720p also. Yes xbox is going to dlc first thats because Activision has signed a contract with Microsoft. That deal may change though in the future we'll just have to wait and see


That deal won't change wanna know why? Microsoft has money to spare and Sony doesn't. Don't believe me? Check both companies quarterly reports. I don't care what each company does or blah blah blah. Just stating facts.

i tested both consoles, i hope Call of Duty Advanced Warfare will be much better than ghosts. I am going to play it on PS4 i think

Don't worry, when Sledgehammer see's how many games they're selling on PS4 compared to Xbox, they'll be getting the DLC first. Why? Because what company is going to sell their product to a consumer economy with less consumers over an economy with more consumers.

Silly child that decision is not up to sledgehammer as activision has signed a deal with Microsoft that basically will get us the DLC first wether sledgehammer likes it or not.

Ive got both consoles so im not a fanboy of any sort but this is not a reliable source of information. Its an analyst, not someone at sledgehammer. Untill this is confrimed by them or activision then i don't believe it. Why is this even on here?

I can't see this happening at all, since the COD fanbase plays xbox. Unless sony pulls up a proposition with activision and sledgehammer games.
