Watch Dogs breaks Ubisoft day-one sales record

4.7
Watch Dogs has sold the most copies in its first 24 hours of any game in Ubisoft history, the firm announced Wednesday.

The firm did not address specific sales numbers. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said in a prepared statement that Watch Dogs' sales are particularly impressive considering it does not belong to an established franchise.

"Watch Dogs is an amazing achievement and our teams should be proud that the creativity, innovation and long hours they invested in making this game are paying off," Guillemot said. "It's great to see so many players enjoying the game, and it shows that Watch Dogs has cracked the code for developing a new blockbuster IP and a thoroughly new-gen experience."

The publisher's best-selling franchise is Assassin's Creed, with more than 76 million copies sold worldwide. Ubisoft has made no secret of its hopes to turn Watch Dogs into another tentpole series.

The Watch Dogs season pass offers extra side missions, weapons, and a new campaign following conspiracy theorist hacker T-Bone.

This is a fantastic game, so I can see why :P
Very similar to GTA. Infact, it is a modern day 'Mafia II'.

Yin Pretty fun game. Not sure how much replay value it will have once I finish it, but it is pretty entertaining at the moment. Driving mechanics aren't the best but not terrible. Looks very nice. I mean, nothing looked as nice as the very first trailer they had on it, but still very nice. Help Is On The Way by Rise Against is also a major plus, lol.

I completely agree with this post, and they had some good music selection in this game haha. Probably won't buy the season pass, well at least for a while since the campaign seems long and kinda repetitive.

I don't doubt it. Downloaded the game yesterday and have absolutely loved it.

This game is trash, the graphics look like a game from 10 years ago.

Dylan- Isn't this just a spin-off of GTA? I'm confused about what the game Is about.

If you don't know what it is don't state it resembles a game. Noob.

The story plot revolves around a man who does a hacking mission and it goes wrong because another hacker found out who was hacking into the system they were trying to rob so he puts a hit on Aiden(protagonist) And ends up killing his niece and he is trying to find out who was behind the murder of his family member and he's willing to do whatever it takes to get vengeance. He's a hacker but at the same very skillfully trained in combat.
