PSN maintenance scheduled for June 2

Sony has scheduled PlayStation Network maintenance for Monday June 2.

The maintenance period will run for approximately six hours, from 17:50 until 23:30 BST (9:50 to 15:30 Pacific Time / 12:50 to 18:30 Eastern Time).

Services including PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home and Account Management will be inaccessible during the maintenance window, but online gameplay will be available to users who have recently signed in to their PSN account and have their authentication details cached.

Sony says there may be some additional downtime after the maintenance period for testing purposes.

The company said on Thursday that PlayStation Plus will offer six titles a month starting in June.

June's new titles for US subscribers will be Trine 2 and Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate for PS4, NBA 2K14 and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time (with Vita Cross-Buy) for PS3, and Terraria and Mutant Mudds Deluxe for Vita.

European subscribers will receive Trine 2 and Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate for PS4, NBA 2K14 and Lone Survivor for PS3, and Dragon's Crown and Surge Deluxe for PS Vita.

Sony CEO Kaz Hirai revealed in a corporate strategy meeting this month that half of all PS4 owners subscribe to PlayStation Plus.

Why the he** can't anyone read the third da** line! The only things going down for a number of hours are PS Home, PS Store, and Account Management. Online playing has no problems what-so-ever (as long as you play a week before the down time)! God some of y'all on here are too ignorant to even read (both sides of these fanboy wars).

That being said, glad to hear that they are constantly trying to better their console with updates.

yea its just xbox never goes down so the rare accusations it does people flip out about it simple as that sony has went down about 4 times since the ps4 came out xbox 0 since xbox one came out.

Xbox live went down during the titanfall launch. I and most of xbl couldn't sign in for about 24 hours after the launch.


I did? because that was only for some people. me and another 400000+ people were playing at midnight until the morning. Also xbox live has 300,000 servers to maintain not like the 30k sony has. Do note i own both next gens(aka not a fanboy)

It's ok don't get all defensive. I'm not lying though, just google it and you will find countless sources and forums of people having issues, if you could connect you were in the minority.

Xbox Live CAN go down and you're ignorant to think it cant, no server is 100% perfect.


I didn't say it never did, so you're ignorant if you truly think that. I'm just saying when MS does maintenance it doesnt usually go down even with 300k servers. PS goes down and there's very little servers


That's actually exactly what you said. I stated that the majority couldn't connect, and you said that you and over 400,000 had no problems. There were definately an issue.


I own bot next and last gen consoles and sony is the only one ive had a problem signing in with since the ps4 was launched :/

Worst time they did this was when Watch Dogs released -__- I couldn't reedem my dedsec or excursive codes for ages cause "ps is down for maintenance" it sucks but at least they are improving stuff now we have to pay to play online on ps4 :)
