GTA 5 will have unspecified PS4 exclusive

Sony announced on Monday that GTA 5 was headed to PS4, and Rockstar added afterward that it would also hit PC and Xbox One. SCEA marketing vice president John Koller confirmed to Kotaku that the PS4 version will have a certain something to make it the most appealing option.

"I don't think we announced anything publicly on that, but there will be," Koller said.

Koller revealed that the game's index rate - "the amount of people who purchase one platform or the other relative to the install base" - swung "well in PlayStation's favor" for the initial release of GTA V. That was thanks in part to a partnership with Rockstar which included cross-advertising efforts and hardware bundles.

"We would expect that to happen here, too," Koller said. "GTA is a PlayStation franchise. It started with us. We really feel strongly that it belongs as a key platform driver for us."

Koller was evasive about GTA 5's PS4-exclusive elements, saying that the game and the franchise will be "very special on PlayStation."

Rockstar has said the new-gen version will feature "across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail".

How is that "the dumbest thing you ever read?" Your statement is invalid until you can elaborate it.

He probably means the part where the fanboy said the xbox one is in position to dominate the market. The only place the xb1 is outselling the PS4 is in America, and by a small margin. Its also still underpowered when compared to the ps4.


the ps4 was released in over 40 countries on day one the xbox 13 countries on day one that is the main reason sales are different do ur research! U just making yourself look dumb! Your a typical Ps fanboy


I actually have always been a xbox fan, but Microsoft really put me off this gen. (Still own an xbox one though) The PS4 is still selling more in countries where both consoles were sold at launch so the different countries are a moot point.
Are you really trying to dispute that the PS4 is selling more and has a larger consumer base? I'm so sorry for you.

i don't care if they get something on ps4, i was saying i wont be buying because of that! my issue is koller saying gta is a playstation franchise when it was released on pc at the same time. I only like the story in gta5 not the online play, if it was a timed exclusive then id buy gta5 and do the story again but not when they do this to loyal customers, and if ur referring to us getting dlc on cod first it has always been like that, if all the other gta's on Ps had something xbox didn't then fair enough, but starting it now, a very bad decision by rockstar, what about the pc players as well, what do they get in their games that playstation don't, this isn't just about me its about everyone that has xbox and pc.

Not surprising, PS4 has basically taken over control as lead platform this gen. It simply is selling more. There is a reason games like Destiny and GTA V are favoring PS4, it's simply the larger consumer base. It was the same case almost all of last gen with the 360.
