343 Says Halo: Master Chief Collection “Definitely” Not Coming To Xbox 360

One of the big announcements to be revealed during Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference was Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a new package containing HD versions of the four mainline Halo games all coming to Xbox One in an epic, Master Chief-sized package.

Speaking in an interview, 343 Industries Head Bonnie Ross mentioned specifically on The Master Chief Collection‘s likelihood of appearing on other platforms/consoles that fans should only expect to see the new collection appear on Xbox One for the time being, such as Xbox 360 and PC. For Xbox 360, it became a matter of technical limitations, as Ross mentioned that “We do not have any plans to bring the game to Xbox 360 as the game size, enhanced features and technical specifications simply can’t support it.”

Likewise, Ross also noted that Halo and Halo 2 previously appeared on PC shortly after their initial release on Xbox, but didn’t say whether we can expect to see The Master Chief Collection on PC down the line, or other future Halo titles – for now, fans can expect to see Master Chief only being on Xbox One for the time being, it seems.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases for Xbox One on November 11th, 2014.

Miss That sucks, would have been cool to try it out on the 360. I guess it's for the good.

You can already try it out on the Xbox 360! You just have to buy the games seperate. Smh

This is a must-buy, I'm going to get it eventually. Everything rolled into one game. I wonder if they'll have everything including all the guns.

platyui Im just trying to figure out how they fit all of the data of 4 games into 1. I know the Xbox One's disks have double the space but it would still be over. There must be 2 disks


Uhm Xbox One blue ray disks is way more than double the space my friend.


they could easily put it on a BDXL blue ray disk for 100gb of data

Excluding multiplayer for Halo 1 and 2.

DeluxeHazard Well at least we have the individual discs on the Xbox 360.
But this excludes Halo 1 and Halo 2 multiplayer.

That makes me really happy. I'm glad that they're making a game that everyone wants a console excluded game. I was wondering what the point of even having a One was when they just released the same stuff.
