Destiny Beta on Xbox One Won’t Be 1080p; Full HD Confirmed for Launch

If you’re eager to see Destiny running in 1080p on your Xbox One, you may have to wait a little longer. During a livestream on IGN the game’s community manager explained that the beta on Microsoft’s new console will not reach the full HD goal.

Luckily it was also confirmed that the game will indeed run at 1080p at launch, probably thanks to the use of the hardware resources previously dedicated to Kinect and now free to be exploited by developers after Microsoft unlocked them about a month ago.

Of course it isn’t much of a problem, as it’s just a beta, and its purpose is mostly to test gameplay, not graphics.

I really would like to see the difference between the 1080p and the 720p that they had during the beta and if it is really that big of a difference. I am sure that with the graphics they put into the game will look amazing no matter what resolution they have at launch. That 10% is really making a big difference for a lot of games and is going to make a lot of games extra special.

STFU i own both but people with lower end PCs cant run the game very well , but for console the games are already optimized at its best . SOOOO unless u a rich **** or spoiled **** kid no one is gonna play it on PC.

A $500 PC can run this game just fine in 1080p.

All you need is a decent CPU and GPU, everything else isn't important, just need a compatible motherboard and a case that will take it.

OT:
As I have said in many articles in the past, both consoles are more than capable of running games at 1080p. Saying different is just plain stupidity.
I bet some people aren't even able to play at 1080p (due to their TV) but still complain.

Very true, most of the games I've thoroughly enjoyed had nothing to do with the graphics (all though graphics do help in some games), but for the actual gameplay.
