Pre-order and pre-download Destiny on Xbox One from today

After am early slip yesterday, Microsoft has announced you can pre-order and pre-download Destiny on Xbox One.


Those who pre-order through the Xbox Store will be able to pre-download the game, but you won’t be able to play it until 12.01am PDT/3.01am on September 9.

Once you pre-purchase the Destiny Pre-Order Edition or the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition, you can download the game by selecting the “Manage” button on the product details page on your console.

Those who choose the Destiny Digital Guardian Edition will receive:

A digital download copy of Destiny
Access to the Vanguard Armory and Emblem pre-order bonus
Exclusive Ghost Casing, Player Ship, and Player Emblem
A reservation for two upcoming Destiny Expansions featuring “all new storylines, new cooperative and competitive activities, and new weapons, armor, and gear to earn.”
Destiny is out on PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One September 9.

This is cool and all but I already have $30(from trading games) on Destiny at Gamestop. It would be a waste if I switched.

vWatsonc I like the idea of the pre download that you don't have to be on your Xbox and it will start to download for you, just sound like such a time saver


I like this feature but I don't like the idea of digital download games because if you break your console then all of your downloaded games are gone unless they save to your gamertag but id rather have them on a disk if im being honest

So then just redownload it to another console, dingus.


That sounds expensive. What if he doesn't have another console?...
