PS4 '2.0 update' adds broadcast archiving, USB music player

PlayStation has revealed a fresh slate of changes coming to the PS4 interface in the upcoming 2.0 system update alongside a few items we already knew about, such as the ability to gussy up your console with themes.

As part of the new update, PlayStation 4 owners can jam out to their own beats with the USB Music Player. Though players can't transfer music to the console, they will be able to play MP3, MP4, M4A and 3GP files directly from an inserted USB stick as background music during gameplay sessions.

In an effort to increase social interaction, the PS4 will now list suggested "players you may know," recommending PS4 users your friends frequently game with. Additionally, if purchasing themes doesn't interest you, the update will allow players to customize the background color of the PlayStation 4 user interface.

Saving hard drive space, the new update will feature an option to add a game to your library, rather than forcing you through the steps of canceling a download. Growing libraries will also be easier to manage, with improved filters to organize your collection.
Enhancements to the PS4's live broadcasting tool are perhaps the most anticipated tweaks in the update, allowing users more control for following broadcasts, searching for specific games and, finally, archiving sessions.

Don't generalize people who play ps4 to had the system bought for them seeing as how squeakers and few and far between, but when I was on Xbox, I couldn't get away. Second, PSN isn't free, good job guessing and not taking one second to google that. PS+ has better games for free than X1, that's not even debatable, and sir, please grow up yourself as this comment shows a great amount of ignorance and immaturity, thank you.

Omg! Wow they have better free games! I don't buy a console for its free games you cheapskate, get a job and buy ur games! So what does ur subscription fee pay for? Obviously not security or research! Psn has been down 3 times in the last month, and they just copy everyone else's ideas. Let me guess the the ps4 subscription fee Is paying to get Sony out debt or is it paying for the few crappy exclusives in destiny and gta5

And on another note, by the way you're commenting, I doubt "you" buy any console, and if you do, try to be a bit more mature, if you don't, enjoy you're Christmas games.

I really do not think Sony thought about, now that they are ahead how do they stay ahead.
I mean the games are about to start pouring out on the X1, what games is Sony putting out? Drive Club?
If they want to stay ahead they need to bring their consumers the exclusives they deserve.
