Xbox Live second outage this month, 'Lizard Squad' hints at more attacks

Ready to settle into a long night/day of gaming? Well, if you own an Xbox One or Xbox 360, think again. It looks like the hacking group 'Lizard Squad' has struck once more, decreeing via their official Twitter channel that "Xbox Live #offline."

This isn't the first time that 'Lizard Squad' has caused an outage for Xbox Live, with the previous outage occurring on December 1st. At the moment, Xbox and Xbox support Twitter accounts have not reported any issues with Xbox Live, hopefully they will be able to resolve this issue quickly.

JRMH It's sad that I have nothing better to do than play Xbox right now, but it's bullshit. I'm all for them DDOS'ing xbl on like a tuesday at 12pm, where people shouldn't be playing anyway. It's ridiculous.


Do you realize that there are countries outside of the USA (Shock horror!) that also have different timezones? (more shock)

Amazefull I dont agree with the Lizard Squad doing this. I'm on the xbox one so i dont have to deal with this. You guys on 360 just need to admit the console is wearing out and getting old and lizard squad easily messed with the severs more than once on it. People on xbox 360... Its almost 2015... Its time to move on to next gen.

So if I work from 4 to 12, I shouldn't be able to play xbox?? That makes sense.

They hit Steam as well, though. I don't know if you were inferring PC > Console because of this, or if you were just saying you'd be on your PC because of Live down (?)

But yeah, PC isn't invincible.


I haven't experienced a single issue with steam at all. And even if there was an issue i'm sure Valve would be on it before we even knew.
I'm simply stating that Microsoft and Sony seem to be easy targets. They have good consoles and the games available on them is great, but the servers seem to have so many flaws that it's silly.
