Modern Warfare 2 Remaster petition reaches 130,000 signatures

Revolution? Innovation? Ambient cubemaps? New, transformative kinds of games burned onto our retinas from our new-generation consoles? Not so much... It turns out that’s not what everyone wants, if over 130,000 people are to believed. A petition is currently live on change.org for a remastered version of 2009’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

The petition states that Modern Warfare 2 on last-gen consoles has been overrun with hackers and deserves a remaster to fix the problems. It’s looking for 150,000 signatures before sending a letter on to Activision.

With over 15,000 signatures gained since last night, it might not be too long before the petition reaches its goal. With all the recent remasters on PS4 and Xbox One, is something like Modern Warfare 2 prime material for a lick of paint? Or is this a franchise that should be looking forward instead of back? And why the hell isn't there a proper petition for the original (and far superior) Modern Warfare instead?

Miss Even if it were to reach its goal and they did end up remastering it, it would be a completely different company. IW doesn't exist anymore. Besides, I'd much rather see a World at War remaster. Treyarch should definitely think about that with this in the spotlight.


INfinity ward is still a company man they made ghosts. I think your referring to the people that worked for IW at the time that got fired or what ever I don't know the whole story.

Yeah I'd rather see that too considering it was a better game, also it is older.


I'd rather see a Cod 4 remake than a waw remake.

This was where the CoD series started it's line of terrible games.

Alexyy Remaster a good game not a broken one.


It's broken on last gen, thanks to modders. It'd be just as good as when it was first released if they remastered it for current gen



MW2 was broken from the beginning.

OMA noobtubes, unbalanced weapons etc etc

Cod4/Waw are better.

When they first released the Master Chief Collection, my friends and I were talking about how awesome it would be for them to do the same with CoD 4, WaW, and MW2. That would be the best remaster bundle EVER.
