Xbox Live Goes Down Yet Again, Lizard Squad Claims Responsibility

4.3
Xbox Live social services including friend list, party chat and logging in are currently suffering from connectivity issues on Xbox One and Xbox 360.

At the time of writing the Xbox Live Status page does not currently reflect the problems, but we can confirm that the service is having difficulties.

The Xbox Support Twitter did acknowledge service problems as well as down detector.

Xbox Live and PSN took a hit last year when the Lizard Squad were running rampant but it seems the group is back to their old tricks once again.

kitkat22 Wow! TeamBudyBear said they were the cause of this and then soon after, Lizard squad said they were the reason. This can't be a coincidence. This shows that they are just completely screwing with you.

I agree, Xbox Live doesn't get taken down nearly as much as PSN. Xbox Live is due to get hit sometimes and it just leads to them upgrading the systems anyways most likely.

It should not take a group of hackers to prove that you need better security. You should upgrade periodically to maintain these threats. it's sad that all XBL has been witnessing is a group that hacks into these gaming networks. It does not only effect the company but also the gamers. But noooo one gets that.

-urzx This is so retarded. Lizard squad isn't doing anything. Xbox live and psn has its problems sometI'mes, nothing is perfect. Everyone is aware of the problems, lizard squad just puts up tweets saying that their behind the issues and people believe them. I could make a fake Twitter and every tI'me Xbox live or psn had problems I could say that I was behind it. These are little kids who are getting way to much attention. Sites and people need to stop bringing up there names. If lizard squad was really behind the issue they would be arrested and charged by now. Microsoft and psn are billion dollar companies. They can do anything they want. Money is power.

Unless lizard squad is a bunch of psychics then your claI'm makes no sense... They said Microsoft was going down on Christmas and it did. they are a real group. Although I'm sure that they are not responsible for this one.
