Fallout 4 isn’t coming to PS3 or Xbox 360 as it “will never work”

Fallout 4 isn’t in development for last-gen consoles, despite what the official website’s source code showed earlier this week.


According to a post on NeoGAF from Bethesda’s global community lead Matt Grandstaff, Fallout 4 will skip last-gen because the “stuff we’re doing will never work there,” he said.

When Bethesda officially announced Fallout 4 on June 3, neither PS3 nor Xbox 360 were mentioned, which isn’t really much of a surprise. The source code, which I am not super great at interpreting for any website, may have been referring to other content on the back end.

Whatever the case, it’s for PC, PS4 and Xbox One only.

Bethesda’s E3 showcase will take place the Sunday evening before E3 and the media will get a 20-30 minute behind closed doors demo at the annual E3 show. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about the latest entry in the series come June 14.

Because last gen is crap.
Console gaming is more expensive than PC gaming.
Games all $60+
Have to buy a whole new one every 10 years meanwhile PC just needs a simple $200 upgrade.


Wrong, every 3 - 5 years you pretty much need to rebuild the whole computer. Games still cost $60 on steam when they first come out.


Kinda funny considering my friend's pc is about 6 years old yet can still run todays games.

Some games can cost about $60 when you buy them on Steam, yes. That's why you just go and use a different vendor to buy the games for half the price.

Some of us cannot afford an Xbox One or a PS4 yet. That doesn't mean we should not be allowed to play game like this.

As a PC gamer I find it funny that you use a game that has been on sale since its release.
Witcher 3 is that cheap, because they basically gave it for free when you buy a new GFX card.

It will never be sold for full price because of that.

G2A is like ebay. People can sell there Keys on there if they don't want there games.
The company that runs it buys cheap keys and marks them up a bit.

It's not as cut and dry as you claim.

PC gaming is more expensive than console gaming. You claiming that it's not because of game prices is ignorant. A GTX 970 costs just the same as an XBOX one. That is just one part of the PC.

There is no way that Xbox 360 could have handled this game.
Xbox 360 could barely handle many of the Next-Gen games that were ported to it.

512MB is not enough ram run these next gen games.

Consoles are created using 2 year old technology, so they are already behind when they come out.
