Gran Turismo 7 may hit PS4 in 2016

Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo series, talked to Spazio Games about the release date for the new game as well as addressing other issues present in the franchise.

Yamauchi was in Paris for an event unveiling the Peugeot Vision GT Concept and mentioned that the partnership between Peugeot and Gran Turismo would continue in Gran Turismo 7.

He also spoke about issues the previous games had with crash and damage physics, saying that these problems would be resolved in the new title.

Premium cars have also been confirmed, but no further details were mentioned other than their presence in the game.

When asked about the rumoured 2017 release date, Yamauchi stated that “People will never wait so much.” This is courtesy of Google translate, but apparently he was quite emphatic, leading Spazio Games to surmise that we will more than likely be seeing the game during Autumn 2016.

From this article, I'm guessing GT series is more realistic than arcade-y. Never picked up the game but I love racers. Since I'm getting a PS4, I'll be sure to look more in to it.

I remember playing the old GT games on like PS1, back in the days. Those games were so much fun. I was a bit disappointed in GT6 though, shame. I might pick this up on PS4 at some point but I just hope it's as good as it used to be.

Same, I had Gran Turismo 4 or 5 and I just play it all day lol.

But remember that Xbox has fun exclusives as well, especially Halo.

Sucks if you don't like Halo. Eg me.

What's wrong with Forza ? It's a far superior game in my eyes, or even need for speed if your into that.

I think that forza not only looks better but it has shown how much more fun of a game it is.........need for speed also looks sick this year too so even if I had the chance to buy this for xbox I wouldn't.
