Xbox One Backwards Compatibility for 360 DLC Should Work "As Expected"

4.6
Backwards compatibility is definitely a solid feature in Xbox One’s arsenal, and Phil Spencer talked about it and more in one of his usual Twitter sprees.

First of all, he mentioned that he thinks that we’ll see more third party jumping on board by offering their older games with the new ones:

He also explained that the team is working on describing clearly how DLC will work, but they should work “as expected.”

He also talked about the recently concluded industry events (Gamescom and Chinajoy), and mentioned that Microsoft will have a booth as usual at Paris Games Week, but for now they did not announce anything further than that.

Following, he also gave his impressions on the upcoming Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, that he is already playing:

For something a little more on the funny side, he mentioned that a limited edition Xbox One looking like an original Xbox would be a cool idea, even if nothing is in the works right now:

If you’re waiting for the new Xbox One UI (Which is sleek as hell, by the way. I’ve seen it in action at Gamescom), and you’re a member of the preview program, you should be able to get your hands on it next month.

Finally, he’d like to see third party studios pick up Crackdown 3‘s cloud tech as well in the future.

Qwel Well I would hope so, it would be kinda pointless and silly to not include DLC for games.

Yeah if they are bringing back a game such as MW3 there would really be not point since that game has like 20 gigs of DLC XD

'should' work as expected haha, gotta love Xbox. Surprised they're even going to try, rather than making everyone pay again
