Rather than scrolling through a long list of perks, Bethesda looks like they've adopted a more unique approach to browsing available perks. An animated Vault Boy demonstrates each perks used in true Fallout fashion when you highlight any given perk. You can watch it for yourself in the video below. It's a little hard to make out some of the specifics, but the return of the "Bloody Mess" perk should have fans of previous entries in the franchise jumping with joy. After a look at the game's perk system, the video dives straight into some new gameplay footage, including our first look at Fallout 4's lockpicking and hacking minigames. They appear to be basically the same systems used in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, but hey, don't fix what isn't broken.
The rest of the demo mostly consists of making feral ghouls explode with various Wasteland weaponry, such as the laser rifle and laser musket.
