All the changes EA is making to FIFA Ultimate Team in FIFA 16

4.7
EA has some massive changes in store for new and returning FIFA Ultimate Team players in FIFA 16.

EA has outlined launch plans for FIFA 16, specifically pertaining to FIFA Ultimate Team. Starting September 17, the Transfer Market will be available online and through the app.

The early wave will only be for returning and verified members from FIFA 15. These players can start trading early by opening free returning packs. New players will need to play any version of FIFA 16 first before they can access the Market.

This security measure is one of this year’s changes, intended to stem bots.

Price ranges will also start much wider to make it easier for players to buy and sell on the Transfer Market. EA says it intends to keep price ranges as wide as possible throughout the season to offer a “fair environment for trading” and to protect the market against coin buying.

Another major change is splitting the Transfer Market pools by console generation. Coins, club items, and market items will no longer be shared between Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and similarly between PS3 and PS4.

For players trying Ultimate Team for the first time in in FIFA 16, they will be asked to choose the default console they want to start their club in. This console will be the default for this account and all future earnings will stay on that account and its default console.

As for returning players, they’ll be able to bring their FIFA Points from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, or PS3 to PS4 as a one-time transfer. Points can also be transferred on the same console.

It's not much different to FIFA 15 apart from the career mode training.

If I have FIFA 15 is it even worth spending another $60 for this?

RIP in coin farming for us current gen users.

Polygon You can't blame devs for trying to push people to current gen, if you're playing on X360/PS3 it's your own problem.
I really don't understand how FIFA is changing in any way tbh

You can't blame them, but there's not a great deal of reasons to get a new console. The libraries are too weak atm, maybe after all of 2015's blockbusters are released they'll be worth it, but I regret making the switch when I did. And it's changing to make EA more moneys.

I feel like the console split is a good idea but not right now, like I feel like itll just end up bad for both parties..

DeluxeHazard_Jr Very good changes imo but RIP 360 and ps3 market

Right.

RIP 360 and PS3, they're slowly killing it.

I heard that changes were going to be big. As for the market being shared between consoles, im not to sure how I feel about that. Guess time will tell.
