Destiny: The Taken King becomes most downloaded day-one game on PS

Destiny: The Taken King has become the most downloaded day-one game in PlayStation history, according to Activision.

The expansion was played by more people on launch day than the original Destiny and set a record total players and peak online concurrency.

“Destiny: The Taken King is officially the most downloaded game on day-one in PlayStation history and set a new benchmark for both total Destiny players and peak online concurrency on day-one, so it’s safe to say the Destiny franchise continues to gain momentum,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing.

“Along with our talented partners at Bungie, we cannot wait to watch the community continue to grow and tackle the King’s Fall Raid kicking off on Friday.”

Bungie announced during a livestream earlier this month the King’s Fall raid would release on September 18- which is tomorrow.

Destiny: The Taken King was released this week and is available for PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

They did when they finished the first and only five quests, lol. But once the expansions came out, I heard the game got a lot better content wise. Opening up more and allowing more gameplay.

I do think its bad they had to get DLC for game modes to save the game...

-Corgi What's so funny about this is all those idiots who comment on every Destiny article saying "People still play this game lol?" Or "This game is dead."

Yet, here we have the facts. One ONE system alone, it was THE MOST downloaded day one game in PS history. Not only that, it had more people playing the game in that single day than launch day last year. That means, not only is there as much people playing it as there was last year (where it also broke records for most played game) it had EVEN MORE than that.

Thank you! Teach these 5 year old scrubs the facts.
