Recently, Microsoft revealed that the company is bringing the ability to play Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One. Surprisingly enough, the company isn’t stopping there. Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox wants the ability to play Xbox 360 on the PC. In an interview with Gizmodo Brazil, Phil stated:
“[Xbox games on Xbox One is] something I want to do, but it is a matter of priority. I would love to have the ability to play Xbox 360 on PC at some point too, so we have different things we have to think about when we plan these things. But it would be great to have support for original Xbox games. So yes, I want it, but we have many other things we want to do as well.”
fknvlink oh man. I would buy those games even if I had to use the windows store instead of steam. I would love to play the skate games, forza 4, halo, and all the other games I can't think of at the moment.
It should be pretty feasible for them to do it too, since they are running an emulator on the xbox one to play each 360 game. I am sure it wouldn't be that much harder to bring the emulator to windows 10 at the least considering the xbox one is much more like a PC in terms of architecture than the 360 was.
I know its not official or confirmed to be ever been done but the fact that he said he wants to gets me hyped.
The thing is, you won't even have to pay for the majority of these games. There's already a 360 emulator in which you can play a fair few games. Just download the ROM and you'll be ready to go!

this would be a cool idea I guess. Its not like PC has the largest library of games or anything like that.. not many games on the 360 I would wanna play on PC other than like red dead and maybe halo on PC
MushroomElm Does that mean an Emulator, or streaming? Because if you have to run the game on your Xbox and than be able to play it on PC, I'd feel it a waste. But I honestly wouldn't mind buying a Xbox Emulator and the various games.
This means an emulator so i can play games on my pc with people on the xbox servers.
