Call of Duty: Black Ops III Runs in 30fps on Xbox 360 & PS3

Beenox and Mercenary Technology are handling last generation’s versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and they have tried to achieve 60fps, but didn’t succeed.

Beenox Creative Director Thomas Wilson explained the situation, and said they tried to reach 60fps, but it was hard to do so. They are targeting 30fps for now, but he reassured everybody that “the experience is very enjoyable.”

We’re basically looking more at something like 30fps. But still, the experience is very enjoyable, otherwise it’s not Call of Duty.”

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions won’t have a single-player campaign as well.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III launches on November 6 PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

good, Finally more people will come to xbox one/ps4 and quit playing on the old gens. This is there finally cod game on old gens because campaign is gone, paintshop & gunshop is gone. Seasonpass, nuketown, and "The Giant" zombie map isnt coming to last gen. and then 30fps.

I agree, $50 for no story or 60 fps, sounds a little outrages to me.


You people wouldn't notice the difference of 30FPS anyways, so don't complain about it.

It's like the Xbone. Most of the first games came out in 30FPS when promised 60FPS and it 'Was just soo much better' than the old console.

I agree, though. No story = Less content = Less cost. Black Ops is the only Story I've followed, aside from the Zombies. The 360+PS3 Market doesn't matter to them anymore anyways.

I'm going to bring a little science to you guys. 60 fps only makes the game appear smoother, you're not actually perceiving it at 60 fps. You're only perceiving it at 30 fps. This is the fps limit for the unaided eye. Hence the reason why 60 fps only makes it smoother looking.

If you have a link to back up your claim of 30 FPS please post it, but I believe the human eye is far more capable than even 60 FPS.


I personally I wouldn't trust something off of reddit as a source of accurate information. I learned the information from my physics class that I took in high school. Which was last year. Now could what I of learned be outdated without my knowledge? Yes it could be, every day experiments/tests are ran to further our knowledge.

What do you expect? Next gen has been out a couple of years now. They have to convert more people over to them. 360 and PS3 will both lose alot of support and major games over the next couple of years.


This is going to be the worse experience. Why can't people finally upgrade and actually get games that have content and actually run?
