Call of Duty: Black Ops III Runs in 30fps on Xbox 360 & PS3

Beenox and Mercenary Technology are handling last generation’s versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and they have tried to achieve 60fps, but didn’t succeed.

Beenox Creative Director Thomas Wilson explained the situation, and said they tried to reach 60fps, but it was hard to do so. They are targeting 30fps for now, but he reassured everybody that “the experience is very enjoyable.”

We’re basically looking more at something like 30fps. But still, the experience is very enjoyable, otherwise it’s not Call of Duty.”

The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions won’t have a single-player campaign as well.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III launches on November 6 PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

I agree, $50 for no story or 60 fps, sounds a little outrages to me.


You people wouldn't notice the difference of 30FPS anyways, so don't complain about it.

It's like the Xbone. Most of the first games came out in 30FPS when promised 60FPS and it 'Was just soo much better' than the old console.

I agree, though. No story = Less content = Less cost. Black Ops is the only Story I've followed, aside from the Zombies. The 360+PS3 Market doesn't matter to them anymore anyways.


for most people it is very easy to tell the difference...

This game should have just been lowered in quality to keep the fps higher on old gen. I honestly believe the franchise is dead now anyway.

BS you cant notice the difference between 30/60. Why is there always someone like this? Its a night and day difference. 30 fps seems laggy like bf3 was. xbone as you say was not running things at 30 fps they were running it at 900p or 720 but always made sure to hit 60 fps in most cases. for the very reason i just explained. 30 fps is ok for movies and tv. I have the worst vision in the world and i see the difference lol.

Seriously. I love this new Call of Duty.

But they are milking this, they will make millions off of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, and includes just online and no campaign. Plus it will be a very unsupported game. Very sad.
