Steam reaches new concurrent user record

Yesterday, Steam averaged a peak of over 12 million concurrent users.

At roughly 8pm GMT, on Sunday, January 3, the number of concurrent users on Steam reached 12,332,504 – a new record for the PC’s foremost digital
marketplace.

This is the highest so far for Steam, which broke the 10M record in June of last year. The record number was achieved in the last day of Steam’s big winter sale, when most people decided to make some final discounted purchases.

Its pretty crazy how many people are on the pc compared to consoles now days since PC's are getting more and more common.

Pro That is a lot of users but just imagine it compared to how many people play on xbox or playstation the number will probably be at least 10x what it is there!!!

Still good job for steam as they are growing very very quickly and they get bigger every single day.
