Call of Duty 2016 Confirmed In Development By Infinity Ward

Call of Duty 2016 has been confirmed to be in development by Infinity Ward, the developers of Call of Duty Ghosts that was released in 2013 during the launch of PS4 and Xbox One. We still don’t know whether their new game is COD: Ghosts 2, COD: Advanced Warfare 2 or a sequel to an older Call of Duty like Modern Warfare. Call of Duty Ghosts was the weakest entry in the series. It was developed by Infinity Ward and released in 2013 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Wii U. It was riddled with bugs at launch and also faced harsh criticism over its multiplayer and single player content.

The next Call of Duty was from Sledgehammer Games who released a brand new entry in the Call of Duty series called Advanced Warfare. It was released in 2014 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. The game was an improvement over Ghosts in almost every way.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the latest release from Treyarch Studios and Infinity Ward are again looking to be the developers of the next Call of Duty. Among the potential sequels, they can either develop a sequel to Ghosts, Advanced Warfare or go back and work on Modern Warfare 4. Hopefully we will know more about the next Call of Duty as we get closer to E3 2016.

I really hope they pull off something good here. After Advanced Warfare, they better have listened to the community and comeback to make a modern Warfare. I loved infinity Wards games back in the day. Hopefully they can please most of the community with this one!

I would like it to be Modern Warfare 4 but it doesn't matter too much to me what it is going to be. I prefer the original movement system though.

Infinity Ward has the best CODs, I enjoyed ghost until I got like 500 coins to unlock the last class and then found out it was the same as the first.. after that I kinda lost interest. But it wasnt a bad game

Ghosts 2 sounds the best option, that game was ok, everyone just hated the maps I think. If they make good maps, it will work out.

Nodus "develop a sequel to Ghosts, Advanced Warfare or go back and work on Modern Warfare 4." All of those sound shit and can't wait to see how many idiots will buy the same stupid shit over and over.


Obviously you are not the appeal group if they do. The "idiots" that by the "same" game every other year still think they're great. It all comes down to opinion. I personally like the double jumps, not much on the new wall running in BO3 but it's still a very fun, fast-paced game.

Please no future jumping or boosting around like present CODs. Please make remakes of older CODs or bring back older style ground gameplay with a Spin off of Modern Warfare.
