Five XBLA games added to Xbox One backwards compatible list

Even more excuses never to get the Xbox 360 out of the utility closet under the stairs and blow the dust from its little face.

Microsoft has made five more Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One, in response to your unceasing demands not to have all the money you spent over the past ten years seem quite so evaporative.

The new games, harvested from the ranks of Xbox Live Arcade, are 80’s and 90’s classics Altered Beast, Comix Zone and Double Dragon; recent Ron Gilbert adventure The Cave; and 2011’s Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime.

The full list of Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One via backwards compatibility is now over 160 titles, and always available on Major Nelson’s blog. The list is generally updated with new titles at least once a week.

it’s a little disappointing to see these cheap, less popular games make the jump while we’re still waiting for popular triple-A hits. The current list of most wanted titles on Xbox User Voice includes no-brainers like Call of Duty Black Ops 2, Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption – which we know is in the works, even if Microsoft won’t admit it. (Licensing deals are to blame, apparently.)

Your first 3 words sum up CoD. As I've said before, it's so sad seeing 14 year olds spamming " THESE GAMES ARE BAD!!! " because they only play CoD and Minecraft. Really sad :(

As much as COD and Minecraft may suck to you, everyone loves it somewhere in their heart (Even if you hate it) and pretty much everyone has played it.

So bringing back the old CODS would bring back old memories. They were a big hit back then and I'm sure they would be played quite often if they were brought back. As for myself I played soo many games, going back to Spyro days. I remember when this game was a pleasure to play when I was young (Now it's like WTF is this). My main point is, if Xbox actually brought back games that were played more than others, I'd be pleased. I'm honestly tired of all these titles I never heard of and pretty much will never play, appearing in the store. Deep down I'd love to play Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare again.


I'm down for bringing back memories. There's hundreds of games I'd love to see come back, but my point is, EVERY post talking about BC games, majority of the comments are people spamming " OMG THESE SUCK BRING COD BACK!!! " even when it has nothing to do with CoD at all.

Like wow. Is it a rule or something I'm missing where almost every BC forum you need to mention how bad the games are ( even though most likely 99.9% of people haven't played them ) and spam " COD!!! " like nah. That doesn't need to be a thing. If it isn't about CoD, don't spam junk and bring it up every post. If it was 1 or 2 per 50 posts then yeah. But looking back at all the BC forums, it's like 3/5 posts contain " THESE GAMES SUCK WHERE IS COD "

14 year olds? Most people who want BC CoDs are referring to MW2 and before(WaW/CoD4). The games were broken to shit, no one can comprehend spawn cross map noob tubing or how OP commando was. That's not the point. Nostalgia and the good times when playing it with friends are why people want it. You have no idea haha

I still have my copy of Comix Zone on my genesis/mega drive, and I have it as a bundle on Steam, no matter what anyone says it's a great game regardless of how old it is. These games aren't bad.
