Battlefield Devs Slam Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Trailer

It’s a big day for Call of Duty, what with the Infinite Warfare trailer having dropped and details about developer Infinity Ward’s latest effort finally being revealed, but it seems not everyone was impressed with the latest Call of Duty’s trailer. More specifically, the people from DICE, the makers of the Battlefield franchise have gone on Twitter to react to the Infinite Warfare trailer, and it’s not your usual empty tweets of platitudes.

DICE Video & Media Editor Roland Smedberg reacted to the Infinite Warfare trailer on Twitter, calling it “quaint.”

In case you didn’t know, this week has started with a bang which many first-person shooter fans are excited about. It’s also set to end with fireworks, with the new Battlefield game announcement stream. At the end of the week we should know exactly how each game compares in setting and style of gameplay.

It seems the competition between Call of Duty and Battlefield remains as fierce as ever. What do you make of these comments? What did you think of the Infinite Warfare trailer?

I've always liked Battlefield more than CoD. Everything about it is more well done and thought out than anything Treyarch/Infinity Ward has been able to push out.

Earn They shouldn't be criticizing Infinite Warfare when they haven't released footage of the new battlefield yet even if they will be in the upcoming days, I'm excited to see what the new Battlefield will be!

Bro, tbh, Battlefield 4 will still be better than Infinite Warfare. Now yes, you are correct, they shouldnt even be saying anything since they have not released anything for battlefield 5 but i can assure you, they will blow CoD out of the water.


BF4 sucks donkey shlong compared to BF3 or Badcompany.......

Im not arguing though, any Cod past MW3 has been pretty dire heading on a downwards slope

Battlefield is to complex for COD players to understand, actually requires some braincells to play it

I think this is a publicity stunt since they want everyone to tune into the upcoming teaser for Battlefield 5. I started as a huge CoD fan when CoD 2 Big Red One came out. Played all CoD's until Ghost. Then i bought battlefield 4 and loved it. Now i will say I love CoD4, WaW and MW2 more than battlefield 4 but battlefield 4 beats all the recent CoD's hands down.

Fair comments. Battlefield has always been known for great graphics and scenary, with the physics to go in hand with it. The only aspect i could agree on Call of Duty being better than Battlefield is the speed of the games, Call of Duty is quaite close quarters and repeatedly heading to the same area, Battlefield.. a lot slower but the intensity of some games is incredible, most are quite slow depending on what your aim is.

I expect nothing less than for Battlefield to completely show up Call of Duty this year, but sales of Call of Duty to remain higher.. Due to the Remastered Modern Warfare.

COD 4, WaW, and MW2 were my favorite games. But after that I would have to say I prefer Battlefield. Battlefield is so much more fun the any recent COD.

The only thing COD Infinite Warfare has going for it right now is the COD 4 remaster. Which is why I'll be buying the new COD
