Speed zones are similar to their camera counter part, however instead of being a snap shot of how fast you are going at one, single spot, they are instead an average of the speed you did through a section of road. When you activate a speed zone, your average speed will appear. Get to the other end of the speed zone and your average will then be saved. Of course the faster you go, the higher your average will be over all.
