ore attempting to flash/chip yor box.be aware your xbox dvd drive has an encrypted key that marries the drive to the motherboard, if you lose this key, your xbox is bricked. ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP OF THE KEY VIA JUNGLE FLASHER. I am going to put the VIDEO' up for the BENQ drive and the SAMSUNG ( benq and sammys are flashed the same way ) and the LITEON drive for now as these seem to be the most common drives, i can also put up tuts for the HITACHI DRIVE too if requested or needed.


You Will Need To Have



What you need:
A Xbox 360 console with cables
Computer with sata connector(If you don't you can buy a card fairly cheap)
Sata cable
Software for flashing
Torx T10 screwdriver
A paperclip
Hairdryer(If you want to keep warranty)
CD-R disc(Hitachi only)
Key retriever(Lite on)

Before We Start



Find out which drive you have:
Pop off the faceplate and check the marked hole


If it's white or grey cables it is a Benq drive

If it's red and black cables like this it is a Samsung drive.


if its blocked like underneath, its a hitachi drive


Yellow Cable means Lite on


identifying some of the DVD drives,


First, strip the caseing off xbox so you can see the DVD drive inside then simply hook it up to a sATA port on your PC like thus :
, you need to have the xbox plugged in, and video lead connected to xbox but not connected to TV , ( but not powered up yet ) also leave the power lead in the xbox DVD drive connected but remove the SATA cable from drive, use a longer sATA cable to connect the DVD drive to a sATA port on your computers motherboard---- if no sATA port on your computer you can buy a SATA pci card really cheap, just google for one.

Flashing the BENQ AND TOSHIBA SAMSUNG DVD DRIVES...BOTH ARE EXACTLY SAME METHOD APART FROM UNLOCK BUTTON.

Flashing:
Now youre ready to flash the drive:
download jungle flasher and the appropriate firmware, ie, for benq 'LT+ firmware.


Step 1



1: make sure the xbox drive is connected to you PCs sATA port on motherboard and that the xbox drives power lead is in xbox drive, and that the xbox power unit is plugged in.. and also make sure the video connector is in the back of box, thats important. same as in the new pic below.



Step 2



2: Boot into Windows, start the xbox 360 and make the drive on it half open by blocking it. Just eject the 360 drive , once its ejected pull the power lead from the dvd drive, close tray halfway, put dvd power lead back in.

3: You will now have to go into Jungleflasher and run it as admin. accept the access control:
