Introduction

This tutorial will explain in great in detail how to burn the new XGD3 protected backups using IMGBurn.

1. Things You Need:

1.1. ImgBurn 2.5.5 or later ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )
1.2. A compatible DVD Drive burner
1.3. A DVD-DL+R
1.4. XGD3 backups must be made with latest version of XBC and 0800 v3.0


I say again: "XGD3 backups must be made with latest version of XBC and 0800 v3.0 other rips wont work and will probably flag your console."

1- Open ImgBurn

2- Now go to Tools - Settings

3- Go to Write tab and ensure Layer Break is set to Calculate Optimal

4- So on the startup screen again, press Write image file to disc

5- Choose your .dvd file in source and press Write

6- Youll get a message saying there isnt enough space, dont mind that and say Yes



7- Also youll get another message that Layer Break exceeds L0 capacity. Say Yes



8- Now youll get an error, ignore that and just press Continue and let the writing process start.


9- After some time youll see that the layer changed at 2,086,912. Thats normal


10- At 97% youll get an error, ignore it as well by pressing Cancel



11- After the error you immediately get a message to close the disc, says Yes to that, let it finalize the disc.


12- This is the log after the burning is completed.



Thats it!

You finished burning, now you can store somewhere safe your original game
