Hell's Retriever is the zombie version of the Combat Axe / Tomahawk. When thrown, the axe can kill several zombies that are in the way, then return to the player. After a few seconds, the Hell's Retriever can be thrown again.

To obtain this weapon, all (or just one) players must feed three Hell Hounds around Mob of the Dead. Simply kill a zombie near a red dog emblem, and a Hell Hound will pop out of the wall. Kill a zombie to feed the hound, wait until it's done eating, then kill another. When it's done, the Hell Hound will disappear. Do this on all three locations: Second Floor Cell Block (Broadway) near B23R, Infirmary near Deadshot Daiquiri and Uzi, and Docks near Generator Room and M1927.

After all three hounds are fed, head to the Citadel Tunnels. Near Double Tap II Root Beer is a wall with three dog emblems. If all three hounds are now fed, there should be a hole in the wall with Hell's Retriever inside. Grab it to unlock Feed the Beast.
