For this tutorial I'll be teaching you how to perform a very nice effect in C4D that looks very nice on various texts. Start off with a simple MoText, and select your default font. Select a black color with a metal specular. Make sure you have a bigger bulky font as well selected.

Change the depth to around 140 on the selected text field.

Now, go the layers tab, and click on the motext field. Press CTRL+C then directly after press CTRL+V. This should create a Motext1 layer. Change the depth on this to 70, half of the original text.

Once that is complete, change the caps to fillet cap, from start to end.

Position the text which you just pasted, that has 70 depth, to the middle of the longer text field. Make sure it's in the general middle area. Create a new material and a brighter color to it. Then, apply the material to the text.

Once finished, you have some nicely rendered text. Change the output paths to a .png with alpha channel, and the effect should look similar to this, with a very nice feel overall to it. Thanks, and I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.
