Due to strict gun laws within Hong Kong, firearms are limited and difficult to obtain in Sleeping Dogs. As such, the only way to obtain one is from defeated triad members or cops. Note that you can also gain the ability Police Trunk Key through the Cop Upgrades level progression, which allows you to open the trunk of any cop car you see lying around for some stashed firepower. For the purpose of this trophy/achievement, you must defeat enemies using 10 different types of firearms.

You can check which guns you have killed an enemy and how many times each via the menu, under Statistics, then Weapons.
