1.Remove the motherboard from the metal case


2.Flip the board over and see if you have X-Clamps or Bolts


3a.If you have X clamps take a flat head screw driver and pry the outside ends toward you they should remove very easy



3b.If you have bolts/Screws remove all the screws and take the GPU and CPU off


4. Take a quitip and dip it in either finger nail polish remover or alcohol and remove all the grey thermal paste off



5.Take the new Artic Silver 5 Thermal paste and just 1 Dab and take another quitip and spread it back out


6.Apply more layer (About 1-3 More)


7.Put the cpu and gpu back on and X clamps go toward the motherboard this time to tighten them up and screws just screw in again

8.Put Console back together

9.Go play Xbox Live!


You have now succesfully fixed your RROD xbox

NEVERENDINGxx u forgot the part to were u have to reflow the cpu and gpu and also u dont put that much thermal past cause the thermal past would go away faster.



u dont have to reflow it thats only if the thermal paste didnt work
